Owner Built C4 Conversion
Photographed in Bowling Green, KY
Here's a C4 conversion built from the ground up by the car owner. He did not use a Newman Conversion. He had this car at Bloomington last year.

Here's a shot of the left side of the engine bay. Notice the louvered cap over the heater inlet. I'll have to do the same.

Here's the right side of the motor. The car uses the Corvette Central One Piece front end, with the Hot Rod inner fender panels that smooth out where the steering box used to be.

Here's the front suspension. You notice Paul's little details when you see other people's work. Here you see the radiator supports and notice no gussets, and the front of the crossmember isn't tied back into the frame like Paul's. The body also seems to sit up higher on the frame.

Here's a shot of the steering column, which isn't significantly different from Newman's and the clutch and master cylinder assemblies. The master cylinder uses a pretty complex rod assembly with the reverse mounting.

Here's the AC Delete bracket. A long allthread nut is actually bolted to the bracket. Simple, but it works.

Here's the Throttle Linkage assembly. Not sure I want engine torque to come into play with my throttle like this one allows.

Here's the radiator and the air intake. He uses a standard Camaro air bellows with the hole plugged. The tube in front of that is a nice plastic piece. I didn't get a chance to ask who's part it was. He uses a small K&N style air cleaner in a similar location to MuttVette's.

Here's the rear suspension. It would have been nice to get the car on a lift to really see the chassis.
