The third trip to the strip with the TH400 resulted in another new best ET, but this time it was on the first pass. This pass also gave me a new best in the eighth of 6.35 at 108.27. Click here to watch a (6.4MB!) Windows Media video. My film crew tried to catch the slicks spinning (he did), but doing that meant that he lost the car for a couple seconds. The reaction of some unknown guy at the end is kinda funny.
Other passes resulted in the wheelie pic on the Intro page and a new best trap speed of 137.88. The big change this time was to replace the 2.95" Vortech blower pulley with a 2.75" pulley. I think the s-trim is max'ed out, because I didn't get any more boost, but it did bump the power in the 4000-5000 range, which is what gave me the 2 mph improvement in eighth mile speed.
I finally got around to marking the wheel and tire this time, which turned out to be a good thing. Time for tubes and rim screws!
