Feeding the ever-increasing number of ponies

Few of the systems on this car have been changed as often as the fuel delivery system.  The original change, not covered on this web site, was to splice in the Vortech T-Rex booster pump and FMU per their "instructions".  The only point worth adding here is that, if you heat the brass fuel fitting clamped in a vicegrip, you'll need *2* hot pads, not just the one you use to carry the 450 degree vicegrip-with-fitting from oven to garage.  Guess who attempted to release the vicegrip with his bare left hand.  Yeeeeeeeouch!

I've collapsed all the fuel system mods to 3 phases, each with a separate page.  Phase 1 supported about 600hp and used the Vortech Super-FMU.  Phase 2 replaced the FMU with 50 lb/hr injectors at first, then with 75 lb/hr low-impedance injectors when the Acceleronics Impedance Converter became available, and took me into the nines.  Phase 3 is mostly cleanup work that I'm hoping will feed 1000hp.  Stay tuned!
