I've had this car more than 10 years so the time has come for a new project.  I'm going to do my best to summarize the mods it has as of Dec, '06, and to post pictures of as many of the mods as I can.

BODY

’96 Camaro Mystic teal, no accidents, no dents, nice shape

Glass t-tops with tan sun shades

De-badged, rear fenders subtly flared and increased in length to accommodate 28” tires

Rear wheelwells opened up and factory bump stops removed for wide tire clearance

Hole in right rear tail light lens for battery cutoff switch actuator

Front fascia opened up to feed air to intercooler

Deeper Wings West front air dam

Original metal hood

 

 

INTERIOR

Original tan cloth upholstery, carpet, and headliner in perfect condition

New tan interior plastic in perfect condition

Autometer fuel pressure and tranny temp gauges

Dynojet Wideband Commander AFR gauges for each bank (controllers hidden in glove box)

Top of the Hill / Blaine Fabrication NHRA-legal cage (to 8.50) with harness mount for driver and passenger

Video camera mount on harness bar

5 point harness for driver seat included

Autometer tranny temp gauge integrated into console

Cigarette lighter moved down to accommodate gauge

Fan control switches, line lock switch, and fuel pump controller switch in ash tray

LED idiot light for oil pressure and water temp in left side instrument cluster “eyebrow”

LED shift light in right eyebrow

Rear window defogger switch controls Dynojet AFR data logger

Mount and electrical connector for Autometer tach on dashboard gauge hood (tach included)

Turbo Action Cheetah shifter integrated into factory console

All new or modified wiring is hidden

Induction/Exhaust/Ignition

GM LT4, intake manifold, ported to the limit of the casting

AS&M 58mm throttle body, modified to direct idle air to the manifold idle air passages

K&N air filter, 9” long by 6” diameter

Custom Top of the Hill 3-1/2” ceramic coated steel tubes from blower to intercooler to throttle body

Custom Top of the Hill 4” ceramic coated steel blower inlet tube

Ported Vortech aluminum intake elbow

JetHot 1-3/4” primary long tube headers, ceramic coated

Blaine Fabrication y-pipe with a 3” Carsound cat in each leg of the y

Mufflex 4” catback with Hooker 3” Superflow muffler (to quiet the car down a little), discrete 4” tail pipe

MSD Digital 7 ignition box

MSD 8251 coil

MSD 8.5 mm plug wires

MSD cap and rotor on GM Optispark distributor

Fuel System

Stock tank with 5/8” thin wall steel pickup tube with pickup end located in factory plastic anti-slosh box

5/8” teflon lined AN lines from pickup tube through pre-filter to pump

Pump located below bottom of tank to ensure gravity feed

SX Industries 50-micron stainless steel element pre-filter

Aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump

Aeromotive fuel pump controller

SX Industries 10-micron post filter

1/2” aluminum hard line for supply, 3/8” aluminum hard line for return

AN fittings on all pressure side connections

Paxton adjustable fuel pressure regulator

AN fittings welded to stock fuel rail, very smooth 3/8” aluminum supply tubes from regulator to rails

Drain fitting and Autometer fuel pressure gauge sender fitting welded to fuel rail

95 lb/hr Acceleronics flow matched injectors
